WATERKNYT is looking forward to Jersey City's first Worldwide Knit in Public Day to be held in Van Vorst Downtown in Van Vorst Park on Saturday, June 8 from Noon - 6 p.m.

WATERKNYT is planning a fiber-luscious time for everyone! All artists and crafters are welcome: knit, crochet, sketch or craft. Beginner tips, knit or crochet for wellness presentations, art project, and *giveaways!

Where: Van Vorst Park, 257-287 Montgomery St, Jersey City, NJ 07302
What: A drop-in community gathering to promote the arts in Jersey City, specifically knit, crochet and fiber arts.
Who: Knit, crochet and spinning enthusiasts. Artists, artisans, photographers and supporters. All are welcome! Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
When: Stop by the gazebo between 12 noon and 6 p.m. to meet your creative neighbors and join in the knitting fun.
Join in: Bring or make a square (see below); Volunteer (see below)
Good to know: There is no rain date, we will be in the gazebo rain or shine. The Park offers a farmer's market from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. The Jersey City Public Library across the street has great knitting books and public restrooms.
The JCKIP Art Project: Bring a knit, crochet or woven yarn square 4" wide to add to the fiber mosaic. You can make one that afternoon as well, yarn and needles/hooks will be available for your use. The finished mural will be curated by WATERKNYT and details on exhibition placement will be released to all registered participants. Registration will take place when submitting squares.
